The cargo skirt

The cargo skirt

This might not be an obvious choice for some but I actually think a cargo skirt can be a really useful wardrobe staple. It’s definitely something you can wear season after season. I bought this little beauty recently from the H&M sale. When I saw it online I really liked the cut of it and thought it looked flattering. I love a high waist anyway and this paper bag style waist is a great feature as well as the deep cargo pockets. It’s one of those pieces that can be styled casually with a tee or cami and sandals in summer and then become chic in winter worn with tights, ankle boots and a roll neck.

I’ve gone for a classic khaki shade and styled it with a breton tee and espadrilles. There’s no rules when it comes to length; this style of skirt can be as casual or as dressy as you like. Versatility is key when it comes to the cargo skirt making it a wardrobe keeper. It’s also an ideal alternative to denim and could be a great piece for your workwear wardrobe teamed with a white shirt. What’s your take on the cargo skirt?
