There’s nothing quite like the thrill of a vintage find; the feeling you get when you find the perfect blouse or coat that’s one of a kind. Over the years of vintage shopping I have discovered some real beauties, often in the places you never expect to find; an old charity shop in a small town. I always pop into charity shops when I’m on holiday in the UK. So I thought I would share a few of my favourite pieces I’ve collected over time.
First up is the Laura Ashley floral blouse (above) with ruffle collar and sleeves. I just love it, the print is beautiful and I tend to wear this with jeans and dress it up with heels it’s my go-to for those “jeans and a nice top” occasions.
This straw bag I bought from a charity shop around 5 years ago. The tote was about a fiver I think, but I use this bag every summer, chuck everything in and go!
A red ruffle sundress from the seventies, I think this was an eBay find. I find it perfect every summer it’s so lightweight, doesn’t require ironing and is a flattering shape.
This vintage Levi’s jacket belonged to my dad, he had it when he was 18 and I asked him if I could have it years ago, he said I could but I had to promise him I would never sell it. This is one piece I will never part with, and I wear it all the time. It’s a bit worn on the collar but it’s all part of the character and story of the piece.
