When you have babies or young kids you don’t always have time to think about your outfit every morning so building a capsule wardrobe will make life easier and stop you reaching for the same pair of jeans and top combo!
Denim is such a reliable part of our wardrobe, but when you’re off duty it probably feels like you wear jeans most of the time, they’re comfy and easy to wear. For a change try a jumpsuit, I love my boiler style jumpsuit from Next it’s so lightweight and comfortable plus I can roll up the sleeves for warmer days or layer a top underneath and throw a chunky knit cardi over the top for cooler days.
An other alternative to jeans is a jogger, believe it or not they can look chic styled with a classic white shirt or Breton top plus a biker (another staple) over the top just pulls the look together. If you don’t fancy wearing joggers outside the house, then go for a printed tailored trouser and dress it down with plimsoles and a slogan top.
If you want to switch your changing bag for something a bit more chic then a tote bag is the best way to fit in everything you need. Beatrix is eating food now too so I carry a small cool bag to store that in, which not only keeps food fresh but it keeps it separate too so there’s no nasty spills inside your bag. However if you carry a changing bag but need to keep your personal things separate then a cross body bag is a great option.
Hope you’ve enjoyed these tips, being a mum of two now I’m always looking for ways to change up my everyday wardrobe that’s also practical for me!
