1 year of Style by Nic

1 year of Style by Nic

Here I am on my 1 year blogiversary and I can’t believe how much has happened in 2017! Starting Style by Nic a year ago my goal was to create a blog that featured more of my personal style, home decor and style tips. I also challenged myself to train to become a personal stylist and a year on I’ve done both those things. I’m really pleased with how the blog is coming along, a new design and a few guest posts on other blogs is slowly helping me build a following, so thank you to everyone that’s ever read anything on here!

In terms of personal styling I started my course back in January last year however with the house move in the middle of the year I finally completed it in October. I’m planning to launch an online styling service to begin with that I can do from home whilst on maternity leave.

My shop Little Vintage Star has taken a back seat whilst I’ve been developing my blog and studying for my Diploma in styling, however it’s still a passion of mine. I’m now investing in new inventory focussing on costume jewellery and fashion accessories, so keep a look out for new and interesting pieces!

Last year was also a big one in terms of my personal life, not only did we buy a new home but I’m expecting baby number 2 in March, so 2018 is already going to be so exciting!

This post is not only a reflection on the past year of my life and work, but something I’ve really enjoyed and I’m proud of it and I hope you have enjoyed reading it. I’m excited for the year ahead, obviously my life will alter dramatically come March when we have our new baby, but I am hoping to still continue to blog when I can, in between feeding, sleeping and all that constant nappy changing!

Here’s to 2018!
