The embroidery trend was big in summer but it’s now carried through to autumn winter in a fresh new palette of jewel tones. Combined with rich fabrics like velvet and satin, embroidery for this season has lot more of a luxury feel rather than the flowy folk style pieces from summer. It’s visible in lots of winter accessories too like loafers, boots and bags, which is a great way to wear the trend if you’re not an overly floral person.
Here I’m wearing an embroidered smock style top from Tu Clothing that’s not actually maternity but works with the bump; I love the sleeve detail and the colours in the embroidery. I’ve teamed it with jeans, suede style ankle boots and red accessories, including these gorgeous Stella & Dot earrings where you can actually remove the tassels and just wear them as red studs! I’ll also be adding an embroidered bag to my wish list this season.
Have you tried the embroidery trend this autumn?
